Attractions include:
Pangbourne Silver Band The Time Spanners Fireworks and much much more!!!
So the main fete begins at 12noon - with beer tent, craft stalls, commercial stalls and charity stalls.
The Pangbourne Rotary Club run the Dragon Boat racing on the Thames and that starts at about 9am with the final at around 5.30pm.
There will be lots of attractions: coconuts, hoopla, the bungee trampoline, ice cream, bouncy castle, lucky dips and all the usual kids stuff. Food wise there will be a hog roast, Pangbourne Primary School run a BBQ, the Scouts do bacon rolls, the Twinning Association run a French Cafe with wine and cheese, The take away (Ali's Lina) also come along and provide gorgeous curry.
In the main arena we have a Fire Show, Welly Throwing Competition, Novelty races and an Egg-throwing competition.
The bulk of the fete closes at 5:30pm, with the beer tent and food outlets remaining open. The live music is provided by The Shakers who come on in the early evening on the main stage in the field. When it gets dark, usually about 10:30 we have a brilliant firework display and that brings an end to the day. |
